Playful Portraiture, Timeless Appeal

Aiden Turns One!!

I met this sweet little guy when he was 6 months old and could barely hold himself- so we did a lot of sitting in buckets and such.  This birthday session he was showing off his new skills pushing my props from one end of the studio setup to the other!  And showing off those adorable teeth too!  He was such a smiler and we had a lot of fun with his bright blue birthday cake.  What a pleasure it is to follow these amazing little people as they get bigger!

Family and Fall

This family is just adorable!  The kiddos were so fun and up for adventure.  I love shooting old "out buildings" because you get that great mixture of the natural outdoors of Fall with some of that rustic nostalgia.  The waving grass and bright ivy are just some of my favorite things about this time of year!

Chaos!

I haven't been on in a looooong time, but I will be updating photos here as the next few weeks go on.  It was a busy busy wedding season and now our last little bundle of joy came almost 2 months early.  So as you can imagine, with 3 little boys at home and one to visit in the hospital- it's a bit chaotic here!  Post more pics soon!

Liem Turns One! | Milstone Session

I love doing milestone sessions with babies; it's just so neat to be right there watching them grow and watching those little personalities develop. He's always been a great sitter- still and cooperative through all the snapping- but this time he just was too busy to sit down for long! Turning one is the age of "on-the-go" and personally it's one of my favorite ages.

Technical Difficulties

So thanks to everyone who has been checking in on my blog. Unfortunately I have been trying to get my page's customizations completed and I have not been getting technical support from the designer. I think that I have finally muddled through it on my own and should be able to start getting those new posts up tomorrow! Yay!

New Look

You will notice the blog took on a new look and a new logo! As soon as I finalize the page I will also be adding a lot of new posts with sessions that I've had over the last few months!  So keep checking back to see what's new!

Thanks Everyone!

*~* Winter Engagement *~*

I promised that I would deliver- so here are some new photos!  I still haven't gotten up everything in my archive that I wanted to... and I was saving these for the launch of the new website- but what the heck!  Here's a couple who are friends of my husband.  Wellll... I like them a lot too ;)  It's always extra nerve-wracking when you photograph someone that you know because you really want them to do nothing less than love the shots.  So after editing, and RE-editing.  I love them- so I hope they do too!  What a neat combo we got of warm fall-ish photos during a winter day!

Changes in the air!!

I am so busy lately!  I have 3 sick kiddos at home which are definitely testing the boundaries of my sanity... and I have to keep them out of school for another week yet!  BOnKeRs I tell you.

Lucky for me, I have a lot keeping me engaged in building my business.  You will start to see a lot of changes I am making over the next 2 months.  The first one that you will note is that I will no longer be offering my portfolio building session rates, nor will I be offering the images on disc (unless otherwise noted in the Specials section to the left).  Thanks to all of my wonderful friends, families and beautiful clients; I am taking my business to the next level.  The professional level.

I have been struggling emotionally this past week with the decision to offer printing.  The offering part isn't hard, it's imposing the minimum orders.  So if you will, please note that my minimum print order is now $125.  I will be periodically offering print credits and images on disc specials though, so keep your eye out for those.

"Why won't you let me print at [        ] (insert Walgreens, Walmart, Target, Shutterfly) anymore!?"  Well it's a matter of pride when it comes down to it.  The print paper, and print quality of the services I am now offering are much more superior to the 1-Hour photo labs and Kodak printer kiosks, and I only want the best for my clients.

Currently I don't have an option to buy the disc and rights to the images from your gallery outright.  I would like to offer it in the future, but I am not sure how I am going to make it available at this time.  Once I figure out all of the logistics, I will be putting that on the list.

For now, watch for more posts on some photos I haven't gotten up yet, and also keep your eye out for a new website at the beginning of April!

Warmly,
Anna

More to Come!

Oh my poor neglected blog!  I will have some more posts up in the next couple of days!  Things have been busy with so many family gatherings and appointments this month that I am looking forward to February's calm calendar.  There are all kinds of new things to watch for next month- I have been learning a lot of new editing tricks, and some new actions are in the works; as well as some new props on the way!  Keep checking back~ thanks for your support!  -Anna

Shawnie's Kiddos

So much to do and so little time!  We are back in full swing this week as far as routines go, and I just can't seem to get into them!  My "catch-up" posts aren't going to be going up daily- I get my wisdom tooth extracted tomorrow and doubt that I will be in the mental capacity I should be for blogging; so this one will have to do for the time being!  Here is a group of silly and sweet cousins that got together for a holiday photograph for their grandma.  It was a special session because this little gal lives on the coast and was meeting new baby cousin for the first time, and hadn't seen her dashing older cousin for over a year!  We had a lot of fun. There are more of the littlest guy to come in a separate post!
